Customers Get a Kick Out of Gainesville Soccer Event

Several hundred soccer fans recently met stars of the Mexican National Soccer Team at an event hosted by The Home Depot Store 152 in Gainesville, Ga. The store held a kids workshop and Hall of Fame soccer star, Alberto Garcia Aspe, signed soccer balls for the crowd.

The event was part of The Home Depot’s official sponsorship of the Mexican National Soccer Team.

Associate Misti Felix helped to plan the event, with help from vendors, our local installation partners, and several area restaurants.

The Store Manager, Russell Cross, helped distribute flyers throughout the community, and noted that people seemed impressed with the effort the store has been making to focus on customer service.

“Several people were very interested in joining our team. We ended up hiring two new associates that we met out in the community prior to the event,” Russell said.

Since the event took place, the store has seen an increase in traffic and many new faces shopping in the aisles.

“Our associates are really taking the initiative with these events,” Russell said. “They are coming up with ideas about community events and other ways that we can show what we are all about.”
