Army Reservists Attend Electrical Class at Florida Home Depot

Army training at Deerwood FL store 6976When the Army needed some electrical training, they came to The Home Depot, store 6976 in Miami, Fla. The class was taught by our Master Trade Specialist, Gordon. Mayleen, also from store 6976, coordinated the clinic at the request of the local U.S. Army Reserve Base.

The Deerwood store was proud to host the local Reservists for some hands-on electrical training this fall. Gordon built a hands-on training board, and led a class about various electrical techniques and projects relevant to the Army Reservists. Gordon also created informational handouts to guide the class. The attendees asked to take the custom-built training board back to the Reserve Training Center, and the store presented it to them for practice and continued learning back on Base.

Army training at Deerwood FL store 6976Gordon is a Master Trade Specialist with The Home Depot, which requires that he is a certified electrician with experience in his field. We have master trade specialists in our electrical and plumbing departments throughout the U.S. They provide certified electrical and plumbing knowledge to our customers and assist with training other associates. They often lead free weekly workshops for customers in their field of expertise.

    I think this is great. I know HD is a big supporter of the ARMED SERVICES, so ATLANTA needs to get some RED HOME DEPOT SHIRTS and send them to all of their associates across the UNITED STATES in support of PROJECT RED SHIRT. All armed service supporters wear red shirts on FRIDAYS to show thier support!!!!!!!
