Orange-Blooded Support for our Neighbors at Fort Hood

Home Depot store associates join the Red Cross to support their Fort Hood neighborsAfter the tragedy at Fort Hood, associates from Home Depot Store 6526 in Killeen, Texas wanted to do something to assist those affected. Home Depot Store Manager Will Adames, the District Human Resources team and the Community Affairs Team determined that they could best support the men, women, and families affected by this terrible event by working directly with the Heart of Texas Red Cross. District Manager Scott Murabito joined district staff and associates to present a check for $15,000 to Sarah Henderson, CEO of the Heart of Texas Red Cross, who was extremely grateful to receive the donation from The Home Depot Foundation.

Approximately 40 percent of the staff at Home Depot Store 6526 are military veterans, active duty service members or have a spouse or family member on active duty.
