Stores in Colorado and Tennessee Earn Local Business Awards
Congratulations to Home Depot stores 1537 in Colorado and 701 in Tennessee for being recognized with outstanding business awards for 2009. The awards were selected by local organizations, and awarded for the stores’ work in their communities.
Home Depot Store 1537 in Montrose, Colo., earned the “Business of the Year Award” for building a strong relationship with a local nonprofit through The Home Depot’s Framing Hope product donation program. The nonprofit RSVP had utilized the store’s donated products to repair homes of senior citizens through its “Handy Man” service.
Operations Manager Todd Anderson was invited to be the keynote speaker at the awards ceremony, which had a Hawaiian luau theme. Todd told the hundreds of residents in attendance that The Home Depot is dedicated to taking care of our community and the environment.
Meanwhile, Home Depot Store 701 in Johnson City, Tenn., was honored with the 2009 Most Outstanding Business Award by Johnson City Parks and Recreation for the store’s community involvement and partnership. Team Depot Captain Kim and Store Manager Brenda Groves received the award on behalf of the store at the city’s annual Wall of Fame Awards banquet.
Home Depot Store 701 also recently received a Certificate of Appreciation from Mayor Jane Myron for all of the great work by Team Depot volunteers in 2009.
