Keeping Ahead of the Storms

Home Depot stores across California have been keeping up with demand for wet-weather supplies that our customers need during this crazy weather. Most stores ordered extra loads of bulk sand and gave it away to residents who have been working to protect their homes from the rain and mud.

The Home Depot in Laguna Hills, CA received a truck load of sand and sandbags and invited the local fire department to assist in getting the sand out to local residents in need. Our Home Depot stores in Escondido and Laguna Niguel also gave sand away to customers. Last year’s fires in California created a larger threat for mudslide situations.

Division President, Joe McFarland, visited stores at the height of the storms to make sure they had the supplies they needed, were offering sand and other requested items to neighbors in need, and to help move the products everyone needed the most to the front of the store.

“We want the community to continue to know we are here for them in good times and bad times, Home Depot is a neighbor they can always depend on. I am so proud of all of our stores that are making a difference and truly living our values,” said McFarland.
