A Special Play Area – Montgomery, N.Y.

Associates and their families from Distribution Center 5920 in Montgomery, NY spent the day painting an indoor play area.

A team of 20 Home Depot associates recently spent a Saturday putting the finishing touches on an indoor play area for preschool students. The Home Depot also provided a grant of $3,000 to the nonprofit school to cover materials costs for the renovation.

Grandmother’s Mobile Home Receives a Heartfelt Upgrade

Our associates go beyond great customer service to show customers they care. Assistant Store Manager Jim Cavanaugh from Store 2669 in Natick, Massachusetts  showed us what’s possible through teamwork and service.
A local TV reporter came into the local The Home Depot store and spoke to Jim about an upcoming news story he was working on. A woman had lost her job after 41 years, and only a few weeks later, she lost her husband to cancer. She lived in a mobile home with her grandchildren, and it was in need of major repairs. Calvin Moon was 18 and fresh out of high school when he hired on with Home Depot. He loaded customers’ cars, gathered carts from the parking lot and swept the store’s aisles for $3.75 an hour.

Bud and Mike from Home Depot store 1701 in Honolulu, HI made life a little easier for a customer who is a double amputee. Mike, an Associate in the building materials department, noticed a customer in the moulding aisle holding a small piece of wood and asked what project he was working on.
