Home Depot Associates turn into Heroes in Houston, Texas

Across the country, Home Depot associates accomplish amazing things. They are often the first to jump in and help, no matter how challenging the situation.

Our associates are so heroic that we give out Angel Awards on a regular basis to pay tribute to the selfless acts that happen right here in the aisles of The Home Depot. The Angel Award recognizes associates who rush to aid customers or fellow associates in a life-threatening crisis.

Celebration of Service: 30 Days of Green

As Home Depot associates, volunteering with our neighbors is not only a part of what we do, it’s part of who we are. Almost any day of the week, you’ll find our associates giving their time and energy to improve the places where we work and live.

This month, Team Depot will celebrate the good we do all year long by continuing to give back to local communities across North America. Team Depot will complete 30 district-wide service projects in each division. Our theme is “Celebration of Service: 30 Days of Green,” which was selected from ideas submitted by District Team Depot Captains.

Canadian store helps firefighters with neighborhood rescue

Associates at Store 7106 in Richmond Hill, Ontario, recently got a shot of adrenaline when three firefighters rushed into the store for help.  They approached Colin and explained that a young girl had her finger trapped in the wire seating at the bus terminal next door. The child was screaming in distress, and none of the emergency equipment on hand could cut through the metal frame. READ MORE >
