Orange-Blooded Support for our Neighbors at Fort Hood

After the tragedy at Fort Hood, associates from Home Depot Store 6526 in Killeen, Texas wanted to do something to assist those affected. Home Depot Store Manager Will Adames, the District Human Resources team and the Community Affairs Team determined that they could best support the men, women, and families affected by this terrible event by working directly with the Heart of Texas Red Cross. Many children at the local Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL were able to experience the joy of The Home Depot’s Kid’s Workshop thanks to Maudie, an associate at Home Depot store 6920 who seems to know everyone in the tri-county area. After receiving the suggestion from Operations Manager, Brian, to take the workshop on the road, Maudie took this great idea and made all of the arrangements to make it happen. 
When the Army needed some electrical training, they came to The Home Depot, store 6976 in Miami, Fla. The class was taught by our Master Trade Specialist, Gordon. Mayleen, also from store 6976, coordinated the clinic at the request of the local U.S. Army Reserve Base.
