Associate Shawn from Store 4026 in Dallas, Oregon was picking up some items at the Returns desk when he recognized a cart full of products that he had sold earlier in the day. The customer was still fresh in his mind – she had just arrived from Arizona to take care of her 92-year-old mother, and she planned to live in a worn-out vehicle trailer on her mother’s property. She was searching for products to winterize the trailer.

Working in a remote store in a small town, associates at Store 8938 in Kenai, Alaska, know the importance of building relationships in their community. They also know that bringing excitement to the winter season is a great way to do so. That’s why it’s a tradition for their store to be a part of the annual Peninsula Winter Games.
The last Saturday in January brings the winter festival of ice carving, dog sledding and kids’ crafts. Neighbors, customers and children all come out to enjoy a full day of activities.

Lorie, Associate at Store 6925 in Shorewood, Ill., partnered with a local school to coordinate activities for more than 200 preschool students.
A customer asked Lorie for assistance with an “in-school field trip” she was planning for her students. She asked the associates to come to the school to demonstrate mini do-it-yourself projects in the classroom.

Our February Home Depot Customer Service Legend is Cheryl, a paint Associate from Store 288 in Holiday Florida.
A customer approached Cheryl and asked for advice on how to repair an old cedar chest that had been badly stained by bug spray. Cheryl suggested he remove the top of the chest and bring it into the store for her to look at. The following day, the customer returned to the store. Cheryl noticed immediately that the customer’s efforts to sand the stains off the beautiful wood had made matters worse. READ MORE >
